Andrea Slitti could never have imagined that the tropical fruit called "Cabosse" would make him fall in love. Whilst growing up in his father's coffee roasting workshop, Andrea became a connoisseur of coffee beans and blends; he then looked for something different, that could give more space to his artistic and creative attitude.

The idea of marching another colonial product with cofee stimulated his creativeness.

After visiting several chocolate laboratories, Andrea Slitti was absolutely fascinated by this world. He bought his first book and did a lot of research on cocoa, and realised that the worlds of coffee and chocolate are as similar as they are typical, so, finally convinced, he set off on his adventure.

Andrea Slitti started to produce chocolate in 1988, without the slightest inkling of how great his capacities were. Only after many hours in his laboratory, did he finally acquire that expert knowlede of the commodities that are the basis of his success. He created his first products, but become very demanding.

As he was not happy with the machines available on the market, Andrea, in co-operation with a company in this sector, created a line specially designed to satisfy his working methods.

Andrea Slitti transmitted his passion and care in preparing his specialities to his collaborators; in his laboratory, everything is done professionally, with amind to order and quality. Each stage of chocolate processing is carefully controlled, from the crystallisation chambers where the chocolate rests for up to 24 hours to the system of personalised tempering, wich results in a top quality product.

Following his father's advice with regards to the art of blending, Andrea created special, jealously guarded recipes, giving life to cocoa blends that skillfully enhance their original qualities and aromas.

Due to his continuous research and artistic capacity, everyone consider Andrea Slitti as an innovator, surprising us both with novelties and real discoveries.

He has been referred to as "one of the 8 best chocolatiers in the world" by 'The Chocolate Companion' and "the Armani of the Chocolate World" by 'Mediterranean Direct', and he has been part of the jury of the World Chocolate Masters.

Andrea Slitti’s products, sold in fourteen countries, took him to open some different shops with Slitti brand in Asia and yet also in Australia. This confirms the capability and cleverness of this charismatic figure.

These victories made him famous worldwide, and many newspapers, magazines and good-food guides publish articles about him.

Maybe the word "chocolate" was written in the DNA of Andrea Slitti or, we might hazard to say, as chocolate is the food of the gods, he was adopted by one of them, who sent him back to earth to create the delicious products that only Andrea knows to make.
